Lent

Today is Ash Wednesday, the start of Lent, the traditional 40-day period of fasting, prayer and penitence before Easter.

For the last month I've been praying about what to fast for Lent. This year I wanted to do something that would make a difference for someone else. I decided to team up with the Blood Water Mission. For the next 40 days I will only drink water. I did the math and found out I would spend about 2.50$ a day on Soda... milk and other drinks. Over the next 40 days I will save that money and at the end of Lent I will donated it to the Blood Water Mission.

The Blood Water Mission provides wells for clean drinking water to those in Uganda. We are blessed to live in a country where we don't have to worry about clean water. To learn more about the Blood Water Mission click here.

I will pray for you. I know it can be difficult to give up something you enjoy and I admire your willingness to do this and that you are also giving to a great cause. God bless you and give you strength.

Thank you for sharing your journey with us for the next 40 Days - we are encouraged by those who will give up something small to make a big difference to our friends and neighbors in Uganda.
Thank you!
