Twitter and Facebook ruined Idol for me

Ok ... so I was all set to watch Kris and Adam battle it out on American Idol. I was set to watch the whole two hours... Than 7pm came and Twitter and face book blew up with everyone sharing that Kris had won ... nuts ... Now the final would be like watching a football game where you already knew who won. Still enjoyed it and the guy I voted for won ... but no surprise thanks to my East Coast Twits.

I have to say that I was disappointed that Adam Lambert did not win. I believe that Kris actually needed to win A.I. more then Adam. Also that I'm somewhat confused about a few comments made by a couple of people on S.O.S. radio in regards to Adam. I recall that J.D. said when there were only 4 contestants left, "I hope that Kris wins, or Danny, even Allison, but NOT Adam." I believe it was Theresa (news gal) that said after the finale that she was glad that Simon was wrong and Adam didn't win. I don't understand why anyone on S.O.S radio would hope that a person does not win. By the comments made I felt that those people were being judgemental. It says in Matt 7: 1-5 that we should not judge because as we judge that same measure of judgement will be measured back to us.... Jesus said in John 8:15 "You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one." Lev. 19:18 reminds us that we shall not take vengenace, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself, I am the LORD. John 15:12 "This is my commandment that you love one another as I have loved you." After I looked these scriptures up I was baffled. Do we only love other believers or do we love EVERYONE as Jesus did? As I'm typing this note right now I'm listening to S.O.S. radio and Big Daddy Weaves song "What would life be like...(if we let Jesus live through you and me") is playing. That songs tells me that if we TRULY let Jesus live through us that we would have a continual love walk w/o judgement. I listen to S.O.S radio for guidance, encouragement and wisdom. I have been a believer all my life but have only really taken it serious the last 6 months. When I hear comments as those that where made about Adam, it's a bit confusing to me. That's why I looked those scriptures up and am writing this note. Even though Adam may not be a believer it is my opinion that we as believers should show him and other non believers more love w/o any type of judgement about their lifestyles. If more believers loved EVERYONE and w/o judging I feel that the love of Christ would be felt on a higher level. I think that non believers see a lot of people who claim to love Christ say one thing and do another. As I write this comment it is not my intent to show any form of judgement but rather to voice my opinion and better understand those who said what they did. Please help me to understand. I wonder what life would be like if we let Jesus live through you and me? Thank you and God Bless you all, my Brothers and Sisters.

I don't think that when they expressed their opinion about wanting Kris to win they were at all being judgemental or not showing love to Adam because he wasn't their favorite. I think they made those comments based on his performance alone. I also wasn't a fan of Adam because his style of singing is not what I like. Would you vote for someone you didn't think had talent? I don't think so. I am sure you voted for the person you thought had the best voice and I am pretty sure that's what J.D. and Teresa did as well.

Ok let's try this again. I can totally understand supporting and voting for their favorite. The one thing that I don't is the negative comments made. Saying on the air, and J.D. did, that he didn't want Adam to win was a little harse and disappointing. Not because he was a Kris fan but for the words spoken. Why say that? Sometimes things are better left unsaid. It is only obvious that Adam has talent because he wouldn't have made it as far as he did. Also, Adams performances on Idol were creative, thought provoking and most original of any season. Whether you enjoyed his music or not, he never gave a dull performance. None the less, congrats to Kris.

The reason I didn't want Adam to win is because I didn't believe that he was the most talented one on the stage. American Idol is a show where we pick our favorites and vote for them. Kris and Matt were my favorites thur the season. I could not stand Adam's style .. screaming through a song isn't for me .. I don't hate Adam or anything like that I know he will have a future in music because he made it so far .. but his screaming style isn't music to me .. although I will say if he joined up with Queen that would be a great show because he has a voice like Freddie Mercury.

I think that the comments that I made were taken out on context. American Idol is a show where watch them preform and rate who did the best. We are all allowed our own opinions and to vote for who we believe is the best. We judge the singing talent of the person ... not the person.

Thank you for clarifing that J.D. I appreciate that tremendously. I was hoping that the reason was based on performances and not anything personally. Your opinion was taken out of context and for that I apologize. I was hoping that you would respond because only you could clarify what was said. Thank you again for taking the time to get this staightened out. Have a great day.
